Responding to the recent request for home builder recommendations, consider Sun Structures. Inc., owned and operated by John Donne and his son Timothy. John has been a home builder in this area for over 35 years. He constructed our house in Stoney Creek, which we purchased new in 2006. He has also built homes on Wintergreen mountain, among many others in this area. While looking at homes in Stoney Creek, we visited our house periodically while under construction before deciding to purchase it. We met John several times and were impressed with the quality of the work and the time he spent with us detailing the many aspects of the construction and the fact that he was (and still is) a hands-on builder. In the following years, we hired John on a number of projects in and around our home, including finishing our basement and several carpentry projects.
